November 18th, 2010I am pretty sure I had posted pictures in this blog of me crocheting but they all seem to be missing. I’ll have to go back and figure out where they went.
Second… I’m busy with that blanket again. LOL. I know… took a long time off. Life has been busy. But recently was contacted by a member of Ravelry that lives near me and invited to meet up. Doing so has inspired me to take it up again. Also, the owners of Ravelry visited us in New Orleans! It was great to see how many of us (even on such short notice) live in the area. I’ll post some pictures later of the meet-up.
Finally, what great Christmas presents it would make to give family members something I’ve hand made. I tell myself every year I’m going to and then I run out of time. Then I make cookies, which I’m sure they still appreciate. I think I will have time since I didn’t realize it but all my school classes are ending at the beginning of December instead of towards the end like I thought.
More done
June 28th, 2009Worked on it some more today. 6 more rows done I think. It covers my entire lap but I believe I will have to make it about twice as big as it is now for it to be finished.
Yeesh
June 22nd, 2009I realized when I started that I wasn’t using the I size hook as suggested by the pattern. Which is why I ended up going to Walmart yesterday and purchasing both a ruler (to make sure my gauge was correct) and a larger hook (I went with N).
When I measured my gauge I was stunned to realize that I am nearly 50% off. It will take twice as much yarn than the pattern calls for. Not a terrible thing, as I bought double the yarn, but it makes the lapghan that much more expensive to make. If I end up selling it, I may not make much of a profit, if any at all.
Day 2
June 21st, 2009I didn’t get a lot done today; only 8 more rows. It is Father’s Day so I’m trying to make sure my husband and my son have a great day together.
Starting the Lapghan
June 20th, 2009After taking ~5 year break from crocheting, I wanted to pick an easy pattern to get my fingers warmed up once again. This pattern, so far, has been quite simple and looks great!
